To send in your device for repair:
- Print and fill out our Repair Form. Provide as much detail as you can about the issues your device is experiencing and any troubleshooting steps you've taken.
- If you're seeking a warranty repair, print out a copy of your receipt.
- Pack your device, all relevant accessories to your situation, the repair form, and your receipt (if seeking a warranty repairs) in a box. DO NOT INCLUDE ANY PAYMENT IN THE BOX. Click here if you're providing a PO Box for a return address.
- Using a carrier service that provides tracking information, ship your device to:

Please note: Depending on the volume of repairs, there may be a slight delay from delivery to our facility and processing it into the repairs queue.

As soon as our Repair Team puts your device in the repair queue, we will email you to let you know and provide information on how you can track your repair.
Once your repair is complete:
- If your device is still under warranty, you will receive a notification with your tracking information.
- If your repair is not covered under warranty, we will email you a payment link where you can make a secure payment by credit card. Then, when your device ships, you will receive a notification with your tracking information.

Uniden will not be responsible for non-warrantied devices where payment was not provided within 30 days of the request for payment. Any devices that remain unpaid after 30 days will be deemed surrendered and will become the property of Uniden.

What happens if my device can't be repaired?
If a product is not repairable, we will notify you that the unit is not repairable and offer a comparable model as a replacement at a discounted rate. (Some Models Are Excluded) If you do not wish to take advantage of the replacement that is offered, we can send the unrepairable product back as is, or recycle the device if you decide that you don't want it back.
How do I know if my device is still within warranty?
All NEW products purchased are covered by the limited warranty included in the goods packaging.
- All Windshield-Mount Radars, Scanners, and CB Radios carry a one-year warranty.
- Marine Radios carry a three-year warranty.
- Factory Certified Radars carry a 90-day warranty.
- Parts and accessories not included with your device carry a 90-day warranty.
- For professionally installed Radar Systems, see your owners manual.
To have a repair covered by warranty, your device or accessory must have been purchased in a NEW condition from Uniden or an authorized retailer, you must provide the receipt when sending your device in for repair, and the repair must occur within that warranty time period. Please be advised we cannot warranty any devices with a proof of purchase coming from Ebay. Factory Certified Radars purchased directly from Uniden.com are the only used devices that carry a limited warranty, of which is valid for 90 days from the date of delivery.
Please note: Goods that are not used in a manner consistent with its specifications or use or maintenance directions, or if is improperly installed, modified or maintained are excluded from such warranty coverage. Warranty only includes manufacturer defects.

How much would it cost to repair my device and what is included?
For out of warranty devices, we offer a non-refundable flat fee that, in most cases, include all parts and labor necessary to bring your product back to the stock specifications. This does not include damage that is purely cosmetic and doesn't impact the function of the device. Repaired devices carry a 90 day repair warranty. This repair fee does NOT include shipping and taxes. While the taxes are dependent on your state, the shipping is $15 for the continental United States, and $40 for Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, and US Territories. In order to expedite the return of your Uniden product, it is our policy to typically service "out of warranty" items without providing a final total unless the service charge exceeds the standard repair cost. For any questions about what is included and cost, please reach out to our Customer Service team.
Any cosmetic restoration, custom programming, or upgrade keys for scanners is subject to additional fees.
Can you ship my device to a P.O. Box?
Since Uniden ships via FedEx, we recommend providing a physical address to ship your device back to. That said, we can ship to a P.O. Box using FedEx Ground Economy, as it allows FedEx to work in conjunction with USPS for final delivery. Please note that this option may result in a longer than usual delivery time.
How do I pay for my repair?
Once your repair is complete, you will be sent a secure link where you can pay by credit card. Due to the fluctuating price of taxes, we can no longer accept checks or money orders. DO NOT INCLUDE ANY PAYMENT INSIDE THE BOX WITH YOUR DEVICE, IT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Uniden will attempt to contact you multiple times to arrange your payment. However, any devices that remain unpaid after 30 days will be deemed surrendered and will become the property of Uniden.
Do you repair ANY Uniden device?
Due to the availability of parts, not every Uniden device can be repaired. To confirm that your device is eligible for repair, click here to search for your device. Also, we can only repair Uniden America products sold in the United States and Canada.
Can I send my scanner in to you for programming?
Absolutely! If you need assistance programming your scanner, Uniden can help. We offer a flat rate Programming fee, depending on your device. This fee includes a max of five counties. This programming fee doesn't include shipping and taxes. While the taxes depends on your state, the shipping is $15 for the continental United States, and $40 for Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, and US Territories. Can you reset the MMSI for my marine radio?
Absolutely! For us to to reset the MMSI, you will need to send in your radio using the repair process above. Please be sure to include a completed repair form that states you would like a MMSI reset. Please note that regardless of whether your device is still in warranty, MMSI resets are not covered under warranty and you will be charged a fee of $39.95, not including shipping and taxes. Due to FCC regulations, all DSC marine radios have a maximum of 1 or 2 attempts to enter the MMSI number (depends on model) then the radio locks up and prohibits any further attempts.
I live outside the U.S. Can you repair my Uniden device?
We can only repair Uniden America products sold in the United States and Canada. For products either purchased outside of the United States or Canada or purchased in the United States and then taken to other countries, we are unable to provide direct support for repair as we are unable to directly ship to addresses outside of the USA or Canada. If you live outside of the United States and need a device repaired, you will need to have a contact with an address in the United States to work as an intermediary or agent on your behalf.
Is there a limit to how many repairs I can have done per year?
Each customer is entitled to a maximum of ten product repairs within a one year period. This policy is designed to ensure fair access to repair services and to prevent the abuse of our repair facilities. Any requests for repairs exceeding this limit will be subject to review and approval by our repair team.
What if I am part of the Radio Life Insurance Program?
If you qualify for the Radio Life Insurance Program, and the unit is still repairable please include the original warranty card to receive the flat fee. You can verify if your unit is repairable by entering the model number under "Repair Rates". We will ship back the original card with the unit once repair is complete.
