Step 1. Turn the unit off entirely without pressing any other buttons and wait for the screen to no longer show any text entirely.
Step 2. Press and hold the "16/9 TRI" and "AlertWX" at the same time. Turn the unit back on after pressing both.
Step 3. Once the unit is turned on, release the above-mentioned keys.
Step 4. Press and release the "VOL/SQL" Key.
Step 5. Now you can press the up or down arrow keys below the center of the display. This will adjust the contrast to your desired preference.
